SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE

INVITATION FOR PREQUALIFICATION FOR COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION WORKS FOR KABUYANDA EARTH DAM IN ISINGIRO DISTRICT

• The Republic of Uganda has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Irrigation for Climate Resilience project (ICRP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Completion of Construction works for Kabuyanda Earth Dam in Isingiro District.

• The Ministry of Water and Environment intends to prequalify contractors for Completion of Construction Works for Kabuyanda Earth Dam in Isingiro District. The scope of works comprises of construction of a 38.5m high earth dam, reinforced concrete intake and spillway works and access roads. It is expected that the Request for Bids will be made in August, 2025.

• Prequalification will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers Procurement in Investment Projects Financing” July 2016, revised November 2017, July 2018 and November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Applicants as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

• Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Head, Procurement and Disposal unit, Ministry of Water and Environment at [email protected] with copy to [email protected]. A complete set of prequalification documents in English may be purchased by interested applicants on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of UGX 100,000 (Uganda Shillings: One Hundred Thousand Only) or the equivalent in a freely convertible currency prior to submission date. The method of payment will be by Bank payment Advice Form obtained from Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) website using “other NTR” as a tax head in the form. The hard copy of the Prequalified documents in English will be available for pick up at the address mentioned in (6).

• Applications for prequalification should be submitted in clearly marked envelopes and delivered to the address below (6) by 31st July, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Late applications will be rejected.
