GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE
REPUBLIC OF ZIMBABWE
ADDITIONAL FINANCING V FOR THE ZIMBABWE HEALTH SECTOR DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT PROJECT No. P173132
Sector: HEALTH
- The Government of Zimbabwe has received a US$25m grant from the Global Financing Facility (GFF) for Additional Financing (AF) of the ongoing Zimbabwe Health Sector Development Support (HSDS) Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds to eligible payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. The project will be implemented by CORDAID Zimbabwe. The overall development objective of the Project is to sustain coverage and improve the quality of an integrated package of Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child, Adolescent Health and Nutrition (RMNCAH-N) services, as well as strengthen COVID-19 response and institutional capacity to manage performance-based contracts consistent with the Recipients’ ongoing health initiatives. The project will finance (i) RBF Financing in Delivery of Packages of Key Maternal, Child and Other Related Health Services (RMNCAH-N) and COVID interventions; (ii) Management and capacity building in RBF (iii) Monitoring, Documentation, and Verification of Results under Performance-based Contracts.
- The project will involve the procurement of the following categories of items under the open international/ national approach to market:
- Goods that will use open international/national approach to market include procurement of the following items: Lab test kits for COVID-19; PPEs; Ambulances; ICU Units and Oxygen Concentrators ; Call Centre Equipment; Assorted ICT equipment ; BP equipment, thermometers, skill labs, and other assorted clinical equipment ; Assorted motor vehicles, water tanks.
- Non- Consulting Services that will use open international/national approach to market include procurement of the following items: storage, distribution, tracking and monitoring services; printing services;
- Consulting Services that will use open international/ national approach to market include procurement of consultants for the following services: assorted individual consultants to support project implementation; external auditors;
- Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank Procurement Regulations for Investment Project Financing (IPF) Borrowers, (2018) and the provisions stipulated in the Legal Agreement.
Specific procurement/selection notices for contracts to be bid under the World Bank’s open international/national approach to market procedures will be published as they become available on the World Bank’s external website, in the UN Development Business, dgMarket and in local newspapers.
