  • The Government of Malawi has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Malawi Watershed Services Improvement Project (MWASIP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply, Delivery, Installation, Training and Commissioning of Water Quality Monitoring Equipment for Biophysical and Ecological Monitoring System.

Bids will be evaluated based on the total price quoted in the Letter of Bid, excluding any discounts offered. The Contract will be awarded to the Bidder offering the most advantageous Bid to the Purchaser for all items, subject to the selected Bidder meeting the required qualification criteria for the individual items.4. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” (Procurement Regulations) dated September 2023 and is open to all qualified and eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.5. Interested bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Documents from the Malawi Watershed Services Improvement Project Offices at the address given in paragraph 10 (a) below from 08.00 Hours to 12.00 Hours and 13.00 Hours to 16.00 Hours local time, from Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.6. The Bidding Document in English may be obtained by interested bidders at the address given in paragraph 10 (b) below upon payment of a non- refundable fee of MK20,000.00 (Twenty Thousand Malawi Kwacha) or equivalent in a freely convertible currency. The method of payment is cash or bank certified cheque. The document will be sent by E-mail.7. Bids must be deposited in a Tender Box placed at the address given in paragraph 10 (c) on or before Friday, 8th August 2025 at 10:00 Hours local time. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids shall be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives who choose to attend at the address given in paragraph 10 (d) below on Friday, 8th August 2025 at 10:00 Hours local time.8. All bids must be accompanied by a signed Bid Securing Declaration as specified in the bidding document.9.
