  • The Government of The Republic of the Gambia has requested and obtained funds for the Sub-Saharan Africa Women Empowerment and Demographic Dividend Plus SWEDD+ Project (P176693) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Design, Supply and Installation of the electronic Gambia Women’s Financial Services System (GWFS) for Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Welfare (MoGCSW). For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.
  • The Ministry of Health Projects Coordination Unit (PCU) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Proposers to design and supply the new Women Enterprise Fund system, to ensure that loans, grants and other services provided to women under the Women Enterprise Fund are managed fairly, correctly, and efficiently, and ICT infrastructure is properly operated.

15Program Completed72The Supplier must provide high demand support during the rollout to ensure most problems are resolved within 24 hours. The Technical Support must cover until the acceptance of the implementation based on the defined Service Level Agreement (SLA). The Supplier must provide a Warranty Defect Repair Service from the period of an acceptance of the implementation in all regions until the Program Completed to ensure the system continues to work as specified.3. The procurement process will be conducted through international competitive procurement using Request for Proposals (RFP) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” dated September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Proposers as defined in the Procurement Regulations.4. Interested eligible Proposers may obtain further information from through email from the Ministry of Health (MOH) PCU Project Coordinator , Ms. Fatou Sagarr Jagne, Email: [email protected].5. The bidding document in English will be provided for free in PDF format to the interested eligible Proposers upon the submission of a written application to the email address [email protected]. The document will be sent by email.6. Bids must be delivered via email and hard copy on or before 11th November 2024, at 12:00Noon. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Proposers’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below. The outer Proposal envelopes marked “ORIGINAL PROPOSAL”, and the inner envelopes marked “TECHNICAL PART” will be publicly opened in the presence of the Proposers’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend, at the address below 28th October, at 1:00 pm Banjul time. All envelopes marked “FINANCIAL PART” shall remain unopened and will be held in the safe custody of the Purchaser until the second public Proposals opening.7.
