Dear Sir/Madam,

  • The Government of Zimbabwe has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Multi-donor Trust Fund for Global Financing Facility Additional Financing V for Health Sector Development Support Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Procurement of Two Field Project Vehicles for Humanitarian use.
  • Cordaid Zimbabwe now invites you to provide your Price Quotation for the supply of the item(s) and quantities shown on the attached Specification of Goods sheet and Appendix 1
  • Please provide two Price Quotation for non-duty and duty paying on your official signed and dated Proforma Invoice.
  • Prices should be quoted CIF Harare and payable in USD Nostro Transfer.
  • Your Price Quotation must be received by the Purchase Committee by 1700hrs on 23/03/2022
  • Please submit 2 copies of your envelope sealed quotation to Cordaid Zimbabwe, 15 Connaught Rd, Avondale, Harare.
  • Unless otherwise stated bidders must offer for all items & quantities shown on the specification sheet and provide a Grand Total price.
  • Prices should be quoted CIF Harare
  • Your prices must remain valid for 90 days from the date of your offer.
  • Delivery of Supplies: As shown on the Specification of Goods sheet and within the delivery period stated.
  • Delays in delivery of goods will incur a penalty of 1/1000 of contract price per calendar day of delay up to 10% of contract value. If 10% is exceeded contract may be cancelled.
  • Payment: 100% within 14 days of invoice date and receipt & acceptance of goods.
  • An order will be placed with the bidder who offers the lowest price quotation which complies with the attached specifications and the conditions of this Request for Quotations. Offers received will be made available for inspection on request.

Appendix 2: Qualification Criteria

  • Specific Experience: The Bidder shall demonstrate that it has successfully completed at least 2 contracts within the last 5 years prior to bid submission deadline. The Bidder shall submit three traceable trade reference on an official stamped letter head from a reputable company of a preferably in the NGO sector or similar. The trade reference should refer to the supply of vehicles.
  • Documentary Evidence: The Bidder shall furnish documentary evidence to demonstrate that the goods it offers meet the following usage requirement: Please note that the vehicles should be compliant with Zimbabwe weather conditions and road terrain conditions, mostly off roads.
  • Manufacturing experience and Technical Capacity: For the items under the Contract that the bidder is a manufacturer, the Bidder shall furnish documentary evidence to demonstrate that:
  • it has manufactured goods of similar nature and complexity for at least 3 years, prior to the bid submission deadline; and
  • its annual production capacity of goods of similar nature and complexity for each of the last 3 years prior to the bid submission deadline, is at least 2 times the quantities specified under the contract.
  • Manufacturer’s authorization: A Bidder who does not manufacture any item/s where a manufacturer authorization is required the Bidder shall provide evidence of being duly authorized by a manufacturer (Manufacturer’s Authorization Form in Appendix 3, Bidding Forms), meeting the criteria in (c) (i) and (ii) above, to supply the Goods;
  • A bidder who does who does not manufacture an item/s where a manufacturer authorization is not required (a), the bidder shall submit documentation on, its status as a supplier, to the satisfaction of the Purchaser (e.g., authorized dealer/ distributor of the items).
  • At the time of Contract Award, the Bidder (including each subcontractor proposed by the Bidder) shall not be subject to disqualification by the Bank for non-compliance with SEA/ SH obligations. See Appendix 4
