• The Government of Lesotho has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Agricultural Productivity Programme for Southern Africa (APPSA), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply and Delivery of Laboratory Equipment
• The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply and Delivery of Laboratory Equipment as follows:

Lot 1: FT-IR Base Spectrometer – 1No.

Lot 2: Particle Size distribution Analyzer – 1No.

Lot 3: X-ray fluorescence (pXRF) spectrometer – 1No.

Laboratory refrigerator – 1No.

Air compressor – 1No.

• Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” 4th Edition, edition of November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

• Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Department of Agricultural Research, Agricultural Productivity Programme for Southern Africa, situated at Lesotho Agricultural College site, Moshoeshoe II Maseru; Procurement Manager at [email protected] and inspect the bidding documents during office hours 0900 to 1600 hours., or call +266 22312395.

• The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of LSL500.00 or in a convertible currency. • Bids must be delivered in sealed envelope addressed to the Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, to the address below on or before 28th July, 2022 at 12:00noon. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 28th July, 2022 at 14:30pm.

• All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of LSL15,000.00 per Lot
