The Government of Botswana has received financing from the World Banktoward the cost of the Morupule B Generation and Transmission Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services.   The services include   assessing the existing hardware and software and develop specifications, cost estimate and implementation schedule for the purchase of an appropriate Automatic Generation Control scheme based on the existing hardware and software in the Control Center, which was installed originally by ABB of Sweden.    The studies have to be completed within 5 months and implementation supervision in 12 months.

Botswana Power Corporation now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experiencein similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank's  Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (May 2004, revised October 2006).
