EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

The Government of Southern Sudan (GOSS)     has received financing from the Multi-Donor Trust Fund, administeredby the World Bank, toward the cost of the Core Fiduciary System Support Project, and intends to apply part of the grant proceeds to payments for the following assignment:

  • Chief Procurement Technical Advisor, the services include:   (i) to assist the procurement policy unit (PPU) in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning (MOFEP) to meet its responsibilities as described in the relevant Southern Sudan regulations; (ii) to assist the Director General of Procurement in MOFEP to oversee, monitor, and supervise all procurement technical inputs including the Procurement Agent; and   (iii) to act as lead advisor for the legal and complaints review section of the PPU.
  • Procurement Capacity Building Technical Advisor, the services include : (i) to   conduct a training needs assessment for the procurement cadre in GOSS ;   (ii) to   take the lead in planning, organizing, monitoring and coordinating all procurement training ; and (iii) to contribute in   the delivery of    procurement training courses.

The Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning now invites eligible individual consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (C.V. with description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions etc.).

Consultants will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank's  Guidelines:     Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers; published in May 2004 as revised in October 2006.
