Expressions of interest: Staff Training for Control Area Operations Tender No. 6891/10

The Government of Botswana has received financing from the World Banktoward the cost of the Morupule B Generation and Transmission Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultant services.   The services include   training staff to enable smooth disengagement of BPC from the Eskom control area, carry out reliable control area operations within SAPP and sustain these operations into the future.   Further, the service provider should train staff to efficiently participate in the regional electricity markets  . The training has to be completed within 8 months.

Botswana Power Corporation now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experiencein similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank's  Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers  (May 2004, revised October 2006).
