The Kingdom of Lesotho has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Lesotho Lowlands Water Development Project II (LLWDP II), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply and Delivery of Office Furniture and Equipment for the LLWDP II. For this contract, the Borrower shall process payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing, except for payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit

The Ministry of Water now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Supply and Delivery of Office Furniture and Equipment for the LLWDP II

Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive procurement using a Request (RfB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulation for IPF Borrowers” July 2016, Revised November 2017 and August 2018 (Procurement Regulations) and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from LLWDP II. Request for Bids Documents will be available from Friday February 12, 2021; contact Motlatsi Rabolinyane e-mail: [email protected] cc: Matumelo Daemane e-mail: [email protected] and inspect the bidding documents during office hours - i.e. 09:00 to 16:00 hours at the address given below.

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be downloaded for free from the Lesotho Lowlands Water Development Project website; www.llwdp.co.ls

Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 12:00 noon on Wednesday March 17, 2021. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on Wednesday March 17, 2021 at 12:00noon

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of LSL20, 000.00 (Twenty Thousand Lesotho Loti) in a form of a Bank Guarantee.
