Assistance to Teacher Management Monitoring System

The Government of Sudan (GoS) has received financing from the GlobalPartnership for Education Fund (GPE) to be administered by the World Bank toward the cost of the Sudan Basic Education Recovery Program (BERP), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project.

Objectives of the assignment:

• Establishment of teacher management monitoring system ,

• Support the study of teacher supply and demand in all states so as to develop and pilot the mentioned monitoring system.

Scope of Work:

Prepare a ToR for teacher management monitoring system .

Prepare a ToR for a study of teacher supply and demand in all states so as to develop and pilot the mentioned monitoring system.

Support the Teacher management monitoring technical working group TMTWG and simultaneously provide technical support.(this point needed to reformulate)

Support the TMTWG to develop and validate a survey instrument to gather the required teacher information, including a detailed action-plan .

Support TMTWG in drafting ToRs for the identification of a team of about 4 additional qualified consultants (likely nationals) to take the lead on assembling the required information by working through the state focal person.

BERP Project invites eligible consultants (Firms) to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide documented information (Profile) indicating that they are qualified to perform the services. (The profile should include Brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below (or through email) at or before 16.00 pm Sudan local time 7 November, 2013.

Selection and Employment of Consultants will be in accordance with the procedures of the World Bank Borrowers (current edition).
