  • Uganda Wildlife Authority has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Investing in Forests and Protected Areas for Climate Smart Development (IFPA-CD) project and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payments under the contract for non-consultancy services for a technical service provider to supply tea seedlings for 200 acres (Mpungu sub county, Buremba parish, Ruhija Town Council and Nshanjare Town Council) supervise the planting and tending and support beneficiary communities around BINP. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing.
  • Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for non- consultancy services for a technical service provider to supply tea seedlings for 200 acres, supervise the planting, tending and support beneficiary communities around BINP.
  • Bidding will be conducted through Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers -” dated September, 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders (or only to prequalified Bidders as the case may be) as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
  • Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from UWA-Procurement and Disposal Unit, Contact; Mack Opowo, [email protected] and inspect the bidding document during office hours 0900 to 1600 hours at the address given below.[1].
  • The bidding document in English language may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 100,000/= (One hundred thousand only). The method of payment will be Cash, in UWA cash office. The document will be issued to the bidders upon presentation of the cash payment receipt to the address in paragraph 8 below.
  • Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 11:00am, 23rd August 2024. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below at 11:15am, on 23rd August 2024.
  • All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Securing declaration valid up to October 31st, 2024.
  • Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
