• The Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Lesotho Integrated Transport Trade & Logistics Project LITTL P502125 and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Upgrading to Bitumen Standard the Thaba-Tseka to Katse Road Project (+/- 55 Km) in the Thaba Tseka District.

• The Ministry of Public Works and Transport - Roads Directorate intends to prequalify contractors for the Upgrading to Bitumen Standard the Thaba-Tseka to Katse Road Project (+/- 55 Km) in the Thaba Tseka District. It is expected that the Request for Bids will be made in January 2026.

• Prequalification will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Applicants as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

• Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from the Roads Directorate at the address below during office hours (09h00 to 16h00 hours). A complete set of prequalification documents in English may be shall be obtainable from Roads Directorate’s website www.rd.org.ls by interested Applicants free of charge or through request from the following email [email protected] and cc: [email protected] and the document will be sent by email.

• Applications for prequalification should be submitted in clearly marked envelopes “Prequalification for Upgrading to Bitumen Standard the Thaba-Tseka to Katse Road Project (+/- 55 Km) In the Thaba Tseka District” and delivered to the address below by 10:00hrs (local time) on 13th November 2025. Late applications may be rejected. Prequalification documents will be publicly opened on the same day as the submission date at 10:30hrs (local time) in the presence of the applicants designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend.
