- The Government of Zimbabwe has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Multi-donor Trust Fund for Global Financing Facility Additional Financing V for Health Sector Development Support Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Procurement of Hospital Equipment for central and provincial Hospitals. “For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.”
- Following the revised bidding document, Cordaid Zimbabwe now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the supply of Hospital Equipment for central and provincial hospitals.
- Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” Procurement under the project will be carried out in accordance with the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers for Goods, Works, Non-Consulting and Consulting Services, fourth edition, November 2020. Procurement will also use the Bank’s standard procurement documents. The project will be subject to the World Bank’s Anticorruption Guidelines, dated October 15, 2006, revised in January 2011, and as of July 1, 2016 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

- Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 31 March 2023. Due to COVID 19, Electronic Bidding will be permitted. Please note that only password protected bids are accepted however the passwords should be send on the day and time of bid opening. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on a date to be communicated to those that would have submitted their bids in due course
- All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid-Securing Declaration.
- “Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.”
