Acceptance of Quotation:

• SU reserves the right to accept a quote in part or in whole and is not under any obligation to accept the lowest or any quotation
• Please mail your quote to [email protected]
• SU reserves the right to appoint one or more Contractors who may be required to do the work
• SU may accept a quote in principal subject to further negotiations between the parties relating to quote and contract conditions, in which case a contract will only come into place once the parties have come to agreement on the post quotation negotiations and it is confirmed in writing
• SU is not under any obligation to submit reasons for acceptance or non-acceptance of a quotation.
• Post quotation communication with regards to the outcome of a quote will be in writing from the offices of Purchasing and Provision Services. Subsequent to this the successful Supplier will be issued with an official purchase order for commodities/products or a term contract in the case of the provision of services. Please note that the offices of Purchasing and Provision Services are the only Department at Stellenbosch University authorised to issue official and binding notice in terms of the outcome of quotations, therefore communication from any other entity at the University is not valid and will be deemed not binding on Stellenbosch University.
• The quote number must be indicated and referred to in all correspondence
• The quotation must be signed by an authorised representative of the company
