REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

Consulting Services - Detailed Design, Tendering and Construction Supervision of the Headquarter Buildings of the Southern Sudan Anticorruption Commission (SSACC), the Southern Sudan Audit Chamber (SSAC) and the Ministry of Gender, Social Welfare & Religious Affairs.

The Government of Southern Sudan (GoSS) has received financing from the Multi-Donor Trust Fund (administered by the World Bank) toward the cost of financing various components under the Rapid Impact Emergency Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for these consulting services.

The services includes detailed design, tendering and construction supervision  of  three new Headquarter Buildings are to be constructed to house each of the two commissions SSACC, SSAC and the Ministry of Gender, Social Welfare & Religious affairs. Outline plans have been prepared for the building works envisaged, showing preliminary layouts and tentativestructural details. The anticipated implementation period will be from April 2010 to June 2011.

The Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning now invites eligible consultants firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

A consultant firm or association of firms will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (current edition).

Interested consultant firms  may obtain further information including detailed terms of reference at the address below or e-mail address below during offices hours from09:00 to 17:00 hours East African Time (GMT + 3).

Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below in plain sealed envelopes or forwarded by e-mail address below by 1st of March, 2010 at 5.00 P.M. East African Time.
