• This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in dgMarket, issue of July 6, 2011.

• The Government of Botswana has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) toward the cost of Botswana National AIDS Prevention Support (BNAPS) Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the Contract for Supply and Installation of ten Porta-Cabins and related works. Bidding will be governed by the World Bank's eligibility rules and procedures.

• Tertiary Education Council now invites sealed bids from eligible andqualified bidders for the Supply and delivery of 10 (ten) Porta-Cabins  in IHS –F/town, Ba Isago University College – Francistown, IHS –Serowe,IHS –Molepolole, IHS- Lobatse, Botswana Wildlife Training Institute- Maun, Botswana College of Agriculture- Gaborone, ABM University College –Gaborone, Kgolagano- Gaborone, Botho College- Gaborone

• Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, dated May 2004, revised October 2006, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

• Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given in paragraph 9(a) below from 08:00 to 12:45 Hours and 1400 to 1500 Hours, local time, from Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.  Compulsory Site visits will be held as follows.

Qualifications requirements include: being in possession of Audited accounts for the last 2 years, proof of availability of fundsor credit line, minimum two (2) years in the overall experience of the firm in the supply of similar goods and related services in similar conditions, annual sales of at least twice the estimated requirements indicated for thelot(s) for which bids are offered during any of the past two years insimilar conditions, capability to complete the supply within the delivery period specified. A margin of preference for certain goods manufactured domestically shall not be applied. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Document

• A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address in paragraph 9(a) below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Five Hundred Botswana Pula (BWP500.00) or Eighty Four United States Dollars (USD84.00). The method of payment will be Cash or Bank Certified Cheque. Should the Bidding Documents be required to be sent by courier, the bidder shall arrange with their courier to pay and collect the bidding document on their behalf.

• Bids must be delivered to the address below in paragraph 9(b) at or before 10:00 a.m. local time on Friday 24 August 2012. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.  Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below in paragraph 9(c) at 10:15 a.m, local time, on Friday 24 August 2012.
