GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE SUDAN Basic Education Recovery Program EDUCATION GENERAL PROCUREMENTNOTICE TF No. Grant No : TF013351 - Global Partnership for Education Grant Project ID No. P128644 The Government of Sudan (GoS) has received financing in the amount of US$ 76.5 million equivalent from the Global Partnership for Education Fund (GPE) to be administered by the World Bank toward the cost of the Sudan Basic Education Recovery Program (BERP), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, related services and consulting services to be procured under this project. This project will be jointly financed by the GoS. The project will include the following components • Construction of classrooms mostly using domestic construction capacity and community participation; • Technical assistance for development of manuscripts for textbooks; • Publishing and printing of textbooks would be procured under ICB procedures; • Consulting services for Early Grade Reading Assessment, teacher management monitoring system and Education Management InformationSystem; • Fiduciary support (procurement and financial management consulting). Procurement of contracts financed by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) Grant will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank'sGuidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits (current edition), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (current edition). Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the World Bank's internationalcompetitive bidding (ICB) procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business and dgMarket and in local newspapers.
