Somalia Urban Resilience Project Phase Two (SURP-II)-Nagaad Specific Procurement Notice Request for Bids (One-Envelope Bidding Process) April 2025 Request for Bids (One-Envelope Bidding Process) Country: Federal Republic of Somalia Name of Project: Somalia Urban Resilience Project Phase Two (SURP-II) Contract Title: Completion of Municipal Building in Garowe RFB Reference No: SO-GM-489108-CW-RF Date RFB Issued: April 26, 2025 • The Federal Government of Somalia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Somalia Urban Resilience Project- Phase II (SURP-II) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Completion of Municipal Building in Garowe. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing. • The Garowe Municipality Project Implementation Unit now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Completion of Municipal Building in Garowe. • The scope of the works include. • Demolitions • Structural retrofit works RC superstructure • Flat roof finishes and rainwater goods; • Aluminum windows Doors and Ironmongery; • Ceramic tile floor finish • Plaster and paint to walls in all areas except washrooms • Plaster and paint to soffits of slabs; • Granite bathroom vanity tops. • New electrical and mechanical installations The construction period will be 12 months and a Defects Liability Period of Twelve (12) months. 4.Bidding will be conducted through open national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” dated July 1st, 2016, revised November 2017, August 2018, November 2020, September 2023 and February2025 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations. The method of payment will be: The method of payment will be direct deposit in the following Dahabshiil account#: GRWD000850 with the description of “Cost of bidding documents for SURPII Completion of Municipal Building in Garowe 6.Once the payment is received, the document will either be sent by email (PDF version) COURIER at the cost of the bidder or PICKED-UP at the PIU Office, Municipality of Garowe. 7.A pre-bid meeting shall be conducted by the Employer on May 08 2025, at 10.00 HRS EAT Time at PIU office, Garowe, Somalia. 8.Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before May 25.2025. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted.
