GOVERNMENT OF SOUTHERN SUDAN   MINISTRY OF GENDER, CHILD AND SOCIAL WELFARE   INVITATION FOR BIDS   FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE MINISTRY OF GENDER, CHILD AND SOCIAL WELFARE HEADQUARTERS BUILDING   Grant No. T095129   ICB No. MOGC&SW/ICB/2011/01     The Government of Southern Sudan has received a grant from Multi Donor Trust Fund and administered by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) toward the cost ofthe Gender Support Development Project (GSDP) and it intends to applypart of the proceeds of this grant to payments under the contract forthe Construction of the Ministry of Gender, Child and Social Welfare Headquarters Building Contract No. MOGC&SW/WRKS/2011/01.  The Government of Southern Sudan represented by the Ministry of Gender, Child and Social Welfare now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the construction of a three storey reinforced concrete building structure with associated civil works, electrical and mechanical services. The site of the proposed works is located 5km from Juba Town along Juba - Yei Road. The construction period is 10 months.   Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, dated May 2004, revised October 2006, and is open to bidders from all countries as defined in the guidelines.   Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the Ministry of Gender, Child and Social Welfare offices at the address below from 0900 to 1600 hours on working days. A complete set of bidding documents in English language maybe purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable feeof US$ 300.00 (United States Dollars Three Hundred only). The method of payment will be cash, paid at the cash office at the address given below or direct deposit to the account number specified in the bidding documents. The document will be obtained from the address below.   A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Ministry of Gender, Child and Social Welfare Project Office on 18th April 2011 at 1000hrs, and will be followed by a field visit.    Bids must be delivered to the address (c) below by 1000 hour local time on 05th May 2011. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of US$ 150,000.00 (United States Dollars One Hundred Fifty Thousand Only).
