The Republic of Sudan has received grant financing from the Global Environment facility managed by World Bank toward the cost of the Sudan Sustainable Natural Resources Management Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to payments under the contracts for Construction of SSNRMP communities Haffirs. 2. The Sudan Sustainable Natural Resources Management Project (SSNRMP) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for construction of Um eid and Um mokheit Haffirs in River Nile state,Atbra Locality ,Souli admistrtive Unit . The delivery/construction period is 60 days for each haffir. 3.Bidding will be conducted through the Open National procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. 4. Bidders may bid for one or two lots 5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the Sudan Sustainable Natural Resources Management Project at the address below from 9:00 am to 2:30 PM. A complete set of bidding documents in Arabic language may be interested bidders a written application to the address below. 6. Bids deadline: Bids must be delivered to the address below by Thursday (19, Nov, 2020) - 12:00 PM. Sudan local time. 7. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of SDG 50,000.00 (Only Fifty thousand Sudanese pound) for each Lot separately, must be a certified bank cheque or an unconditional letter of guarantee from an authorized bank or insurance company grantee valid for period of (90) days. 8. Late bids will be rejected. 9. Electronic Bidding is not allowed 10. The expected outcome from this component is improved national and institutional capacity to include NRM in local development planning. Main procurement underthis component include: -Diagnostic study of training needs to institutional partners(consultancy) -Assessment of the current regulations(consultancy) -Information and knowledge management, assessment of land management practices and communication plan(consultancy) -Preparation of integrated Land Management Plan(Consultancy) Component 2: Community based sustainablemanagement of rangelands and forests and biodiversity:There will be three main activities under this component,integrated land management plans,forest ecosystem rehabilitation and restoration and Rangeland management. The expected outcome from this component is increased vegetative cover and strengthened local ecosystem services, conservation of wildlife populations and effective protected area management. Mainprocurement under this component include: -Supply of seeds for forestry and range for targeted states. -Supply of nursery plantation tools for target states. -Supply of sand dunes fixation materials for target states. -Supply of Mark Poles (route demarcation) for target states. -Construction of nurseries in target states. -Land preparation works in target states. Component 3: Project management, monitoring and evaluation:There will be two mainactivities under this component, Project Monitoring and Evaluation and Project management. The expected outcome from this component is that planned implementation progress, based on the annual plans, is achieved. Main procurement under this component include: -Supply of vehicles. -Supply of financial management software. -Supply of GIS software -Supply of IT office equipment. -Selection of Individual consultants for PCU. The procurement of goods, works and non-consultancy services will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits (January 2011),and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines.Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers ( January 2011). Specific procurement notices for contracts to be bid under the World Bank's international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures and for contracts for consultancy services willbe announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business , Bank's external websiteand in local newspapers in Sudan .. Prequalification of suppliers and contractors will not be required for the contracts under this project.
