| Republic of the Sudan Ministry of The Cabinet Central Bureau of Statistics | GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE The Government of Sudan Sudan Statistical Capacity Building Project (TFSCB) GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE Grant No. TF017246 Project ID No. P 152016 The Republic of the Sudan has received financing in the amount of US$ (US$ 500,000) ("Grant") from the World Bank "Trust Fund" towards the cost of theSudan Statistical Capacity Building Project (TFSCB). It intends to apply part of the proceeds for payments of goods, and consulting services to be procured under thisproject. The procurement will include the following components: 1- Goods: IT equipment, survey collection devices and IT software. 2-Consultant Services: - Individual consultant for assessing the roadmap for updating National Accounts and CBS's capacity for its implementation including a mapping of main data gaps in the country as well as a way forward to close data gaps. - Individual consultants to develop (1) key poverty indicators based on HBS 2014/15 including drafting of a poverty profile and generating poverty maps; (2) compilation of labour market statistics using HBS 2014/5 including a drafted note; and (3) derivation of comparable poverty estimates for HBS 2009 and HBS 2014/15. - Individual consultant to support the design and implementation of an Agricultural Household Production Survey Pilot to strengthen agricultural statisticsusing CAPI technology. The consultancy will include contributions to a concept note, capacity building at CBS, supporting training of supervisors and enumerators and monitoring of data collection as well as producing a report to document the experiences of the pilot and discussing the feasibility to scale-up pilot. Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits (current edition), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the guidelines. Consulting services will be selected in accordance with the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (current edition). Specific procurement noticesfor contracts to be bid under the World Bank's international competitive bidding (ICB) procedures and for contracts for consultancy services will be announced, as they become available, in UN Development Business and dgMarket [and in local newspapers]. Prequalification of suppliers and contractors will not be required for this project.
