  • Provide professional technical advice and services in budget, finance, and economic policy to parliamentary committees. • Support the preparation of budgetary projections and economic forecasts and submit evidence-based proposals to relevant budget committees. • Analyze and report on specific issues (e.g., financial risks from government policies) to inform parliamentary decision-making. • Establish a Research Centre for the budget committee • Examine national and state budget proposals and macroeconomic trends and advise Parliament on their implications and required responses. o Relevant national and international economic and financial institutions • Ensure timely publication and dissemination of reports and documents (within 14 days of production). • Draft and submit reports on all Bills with economic/financial implications, referencing: • When necessary, propose an alternative fiscal framework for any given financial year.
