UGANDA
INTEGRATED WATER MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT PROJECT -ADDITIONAL FINANCING (IWMDP-AF)

The Government of Uganda has applied for additional financing in the amount of US$ 65 Million equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the Integrated Water Management Development Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for goods, works, non-consulting services and consulting services to be procured under this project.
The project includes the following components;
- Component 1 – Water supply and sanitation (WSS) in small towns and rural growth centres and support to districts hosting refugees. The component implements activities to improve water supply and sanitation in selected small towns and rural growth centres spread across the country. Key procurement activities include (a) Construction of Kyegegwa – Mpara – Ruyonza - Kyaka -Kabagore piped water supply and sanitation system in two (2) Lots: Lot 1: Construction of head works for Kyegegwa – Mpara – Ruyonza - Kyaka -Kabagore piped water supply and sanitation system in Kyegegwa and Kyenjojo Districts and Lot 2: Construction of mid-stream works for Kyegegwa – Mpara – Ruyonza - Kyaka -Kabagore piped water supply and sanitation system in Kyegegwa and Kazo Districts (b) Construction of solar powered water supply and sanitation systems in three (3) lots; Lot 1: Construction of 4No rural growth centres of Ewanga (Madi Okollo), Edrayo (Terego), Rodo (Yumbe) and Nyori (Yumbe), Lot 2: Construction of 4No rural growth centres of Bulange (Namutumba), Nango (Mayuge), Bubugo/Itanda(Jinja) and Kagumba (Kamuli) and Lot 3: Construction of 5No rural growth centres of Kasaba (Kyenjojo), Rwentuha (Kyegegwa), Bubanda (Mubende), Kyampangara (Kazo) and Nyamushojwa (Kazo) and (c) Consultancy services for supervision of nine (09) rural growth centres (RGCs)
- Component 2: Water Supply and Sanitation (WSS) in large towns and support to a District Hosting Refugees
- Component 3: Water resource management, and
- Component 4: Project Implementation/coordination and institutional strengthening.
Procurement of contracts financed by the World Bank will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers (July 2016 revised September 2025) (Procurement Regulations), and is open to all eligible firms and individuals as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
Specific procurement notices for contracts subject to open international competitive procurement will be announced, as they become available on, Dg Market (www.dgmarket.com/tenders) the World Bank’s external website, Ministry of Water and Environment website (https://www.mwe.go.ug/library/tendersprocurement) and in the local newspapers (New Vision publication and Daily Monitor publication)
