Conduct Marine Tourism Assets Study in Passikudah- Batticaloa District - Sri Lanka. Tourism plays an important role in Sri Lankan economy as the second highest net foreign income earning industry of the country. The government of Sri Lanka has taken many steps including establishment of tourism resort areas in different geographical locations with the intention of promoting the industry as well as to facilitate equitable income distribution within different regions of the country. Most of the resorts are in the coastal regions and marine tourism has been identified as one of the priorities to develop in Marine Investment Potential Assessment 2025.
