Republic of Liberia Ministry of Public Works South Lynch Street Monrovia, Liberia REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (REOI) COUNTRY: Republic of Liberia NAME OF PROJECT: Liberia Urban Resilience Project PROJECT ID: P169718 CREDIT/GRANT No.: IDA-7122-LR and E0410-LR ASSIGNMENT: Consultancy Services for the Supervising Engineer for Household Water Connection to the LWSC Water Distribution Network REFERENCE No.: LR-MPW-CS-462509-CS-INDV Place of Assignment: Greater Monrovia The Government of the Republic of Liberia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Liberia Urban Resilience Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the Consultancy Services for the Supervising Engineer for Household Water Connections to the LWSC Water Distribution Network.

The objective of the Consultancy services (“the Services”) is to provide supervision services for the installation of branch lines and service lines to connect 2,500 households to the LWSC water distribution pipe network. The Ministry of Public Works (“the Client”) now invites eligible Individual Consultants to submit Expression of Interest (EoI) in providing the Services. The selection shall be based on qualifications, experience and skills of the candidate and followed by an interview.

The qualifications, experience and competencies include: • Must be a Civil Engineer (B.Sc.) with at least ten (10) years of experience working in general construction. • Possession of an MSc in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Hydraulics, Water and Sanitation Engineering, and Project Management or similar fields is desirable • Demonstrated proof of engagement in at least three (3) similar assignments in terms of work and contract value during the last five (5) years. • Must have a demonstrated working knowledge of the environmental requirements of a project of this nature The construction works are expected to last for three (3) calendar months, with a one (1) month Defects Liability Period (DLP) and will be a time-based contract.
