  • At least ten (10) years and documented experience in similar assignments of environmental safeguards compliance, at least 3 in a World Bank-funded project with broad knowledge of environmental conservation and management, including solid waste management. • Competence in information technology and knowledge in multi-sectoral community natural resources and environmental planning, GIS, climate change, as well as current policy on natural resource and environmental management policy issues, is a mandatory requirement. • Postgraduate training in EIA/EA will be an added advantage
  • Good understanding of environmental safeguards guidelines of the Federal Government of Somalia and the World Bank. • Working experience in environmental safeguards of World Bank-funded projects will be an added advantage. • Membership in a relevant professional body will be an added advantage. The Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation at Southwest State now invites eligible consultants (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the above-mentioned Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services and furnish the Curriculum Vitae (CV). 6. Attention of interested Consultants is drawn to section III, para 3.14,3.16 & 3.17 of the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers: Procurement in Investment Projects Financing Goods, Works, Non -Consulting and Consulting Services, July 2016, revised November 2017, August 2018, and November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. 7. A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Individual Consultant method set out in the World Bank Procurement Regulations. 8.
