Power Wind Farm in Arta

Supply and Installation of the Power Wind Farm Located in Arta, Djibouti

This notice is an update (REMINDER) of the invitation for bids that was posted in Operations Portal and was published in dgMarket (Notice Number OP00000139) on March 30, 2006; and in UN Development Business (Notice Number WB1157-676/06) on March 29, 2006.

• This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice forthis project that appeared in Development Business, which was issued on June 6, 2005

• The Government of Djibouti has received a credit from the International Development Associationtoward the cost of a wind power farm in Arta, Djibouti.

• The Prime Minister Office now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply and installation of the power wind farm in Arta with a total maximum capacity installed of 4 MW, with the following composition as base case

o 4 Wind energy converters (WEC) between 800 until 1000 kW rated power

o or 3 WEC-units between 1000 until 1300 kW rated power

o or 2 WEC #units between 1500 until 2000

The bidder is allowed to offer / propose one more unit according the base case category out of the budget.

• Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures specified in the World Bank#s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the guidelines.

• A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below Bureau du Premier Ministre, Primature B.P. 2086 Djibouti and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 100 US$. The method of payment will be Bank transfer. You will find bellow the address of the bankand the account number. The document will be on CDs and sent by mail.However the bidder shall submit his bid in hard copy.
