Invitation for Bids (IFB) International competitivebidding ZIMBABWE Zimbabwe National Results Based Financing Programme, Loan number TF010748 The Supply of Medical equipment IFB No.: 00094. 1. Cordaid Zimbabwe, as Project Implementation Entity on behalf of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Zimbabwe,will be implementing a Grant from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development/International Development Association toward the cost of Zimbabwe National Results Based Financing Programme, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Grant to payments under the Contract for the supply of medical equipment as detailed in the Technical Specifications, IFB No.: 00094 2.
Cordaid, Zimbabwe now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for supply of Medical equipment asdetailed in the Technical Specifications, IFB No.: 00094. 3. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans andIDA Credits, January2011and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.
- Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Cordaid Zimbabwe, attention Mr Meindert van der Werf (meindert.vander.werf@cordaid.net) or Mr Bernard Rego (bernard.rego@cordaid.net) and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below between office hours of 9:00 a.m. to 16:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday 5. Qualifications requirements include: (a) Financial Capability The Bidder shall furnish documentary evidence that it meets the following financial requirement(s): i.
Average turnover for the last three (3) years should be equivalent to three times the total value of the bidunder consideration." ii. Audited Accounts/financial statements for the last three years demonstrating the soundness of the bidder." (b) The Bidder shall furnish documentary evidence to demonstrate that the Goods it offers meet the following usage requirement: Statement from the manufacturer confirming that the Medical Equipment offered are suitable to withstand the climatologically and road conditions within the Republic of Zimbabwe A margin of preference for certain goods manufactured domestically "shall not" be applied.
- A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidderson the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee of 100 US Dollars. The method of payment will be Cash or Deposit to Stanbic Bank, Minerva Branch, Swift: SBICZWHX, Sortcode: 03125, Account name: Cordaid Zimbabwe, Account number0240059115001.
For USD transfers remittance should be made through the same bank as mentioned above. The document will be sent by electronic means after receipt of payment for the bidding documents by Cordaid. 7. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before Monday October 1, 2012 at 1 p.m.
Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of thebidders' representatives who choose to attend in person or on-line atthe address below at Monday October1, 2012 at 1 p.m.
All bids must be accompanied by a "Bid Security" of 5, 000 US Dollars or Surety 10,000 US Dollars from an Insurance Company. 8.
