- The Government of Sierra Leone (GoSL) (hereinafter called “Borrower”) has received financing from the International Development Association (IDA) (hereinafter called “Grant”) toward the cost of the Resilient Urban Sierra Leone Project (RUSLP). The Borrower intends to apply a portion of the funds to eligible payments under the contract for neighborhood communities upgrading works in Coconut Farm, Moyiba and Rokupa/Portee in Western Area Urban of Freetown, Sierra Leone.
- The Ministry of Finance (MoF), under the Resilient Urban Sierra Leone Project (hereinafter referred to as the “Client”) intends to prequalify contractors for neighborhood communities upgrading works in Coconut Farm, Moyiba and Rokupa/Portee in Western Area Urban of Freetown, Sierra Leone. The works will involve the construction of Urban Roads, Foot Bridges and Walkways, Retaining Structures, Streetlight, Storm Drains. It is expected that the Request for Bids will be made in September 2024.
- Prequalification will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers “ Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” published July 2016 Revised November 2017, August 2018, November 2020 and September, 2023 and is open to all eligible Applicants as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
- Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from the Resilient Urban Sierra Leone Project (RUSLP), Ministry of Finance, located on 29 & 35 Percival Street, Freetown, during the office hours of 0900 to 1700 local time. A complete set of prequalification documents in English can be obtained by interested Applicants upon the submission of a written application to the address below.
- Applications for prequalification should be submitted in clearly marked envelopes and delivered to the address below on or before 1400 hours Sierra Leone Time on Wednesday 28th August 2024. Late applications will be rejected. Electronic submission of Applications is not permitted.
- Pre- qualification documents submitted will be publicly opened in the presence of the Applicants’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the Ground floor conference room, Project Fiduciary Management Unit, 13 A Howe Street, Freetown on Wednesday 28th August 2024 at 1400 hours Sierra Leone Time.
- The Applicant shall seal the original and each copy of the Application in separate envelopes, duly marking the envelopes as “ORIGINAL (1)” and “COPY (3) including soft copy on a hard drive.” The envelopes shall then be enclosed in an outer envelope and sealed.
