  • The Ministry of Education and Training in Eswatini has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Strengthening Basic Education System Support to Human Capital Development in Eswatini Project (P173151) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract[1] for Supply, Delivery and Installation of Interactive Touch Screens for Phase 2 Schools [2].

  • Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

  • All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of E200,000.00 (Two Hundred Thousand Emalangeni Only) or equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency (based on the applicable exchange rate on the deadline for bid submission date) in the form of Bank guarantee issued by reputable Banks.

[1] Substitute “contracts” where Bids are called concurrently for multiple contracts. Add a new para. 3 and renumber paras 3 - 8 as follows: “Bidders may Bid for one or several contracts, as further defined in the request for bids document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one contract will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.”
