  • TheRepublic of South Sudan has received financing from the InternationalDevelopment Association (IDA) towards the cost of the South Sudan Private Sector Development Project (PSDP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the payment of this Individual consultant (IC) services.
  • The project supports; (a) Establishment of commercially -Viable Microfinance Institutions; (b) Promotion of Micro-Entrepreneurship by catalyzing entrepreneurship through a Business Plan Competition (BPC) for existing businesses and start-ups; (c) Mobile Payments and Trade Integration Policy, and (d) Institutional Strengthening of the South Sudan Business Forum and Project Management.
  • The duties of the consultantwill include the following;

i. Strategic planning and performance monitoring,

ii. Project cycle Management,

iii. Management of PCU staff,

iv. Management of the project steering committee's meetings,

v. Procurement and Financial Management,

vi. Coordination and Communication,

vii. Project preparation of reports

a. Monthly Implementation progress report

b. Quarterly implementation Progress report

c. Annual Progress report

d. Other report on the request of MCII, steering Committee and the World Bank

  • The assignment will extend for a period of (12) twelve months with the possibility of extension as may be needed
  • Selection Criteria: The selection shall be conducted based on qualification and experience of the candidates. For details refer to TOR.
  • The Private Sector Development Project of the Ministryof Commerce, Industry & Investment now invites eligible Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in providing the above mentioned services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the Services and furnish the Curriculum Vitae (CV) in the prescribed format (CV format can be availed by email or in person from the address below)
  • The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers dated January 2011 ("Consultant Guidelines"), setting forth the World Bank's Policy on conflict of interest
  • A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank's Guidelines: Selectionand Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers dated January 2011.
