The Government of the Gambia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Gambia Inclusive and Resilient Agricultural Value Chain Development Project intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts[1] for CONSTRUCTION OF ELECTRIC POWERLINE FOR THE 9 BOREHOLES for the support to NAWEC.

• The Ministry of Agriculture Through GIRAV PROJECT, now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders or Contractors to bid for the Construction of Electric Powerline For The 9 Boreholes all the eligible contractors with the required qualifications and experience are required to bid.

• Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers “dated February 2025(“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations

• Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Gambia Inclusive and Resilient Agriculture Value Chain Development Project, [email protected] / [email protected] and inspect the Bidding document during office hours 8:00am to 16:00 hours from Mondays to Thursdays and 8:00 to 12:30pm Fridays at the address given below Bubacarr Jallow Procurement Specialist [email protected] and request to inspect the bidding document during office hours. 09: 00am to 15: 30pm at the address given below.

• The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of GMD10,000.00. The method of payment will be Cash. The document may be Sent by soft copy upon payment of non-refundable fee.

• Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 9th February 2026 .11:00am Electronic bidding will Not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. The outer Bid envelopes marked “ORIGINAL BID, and Construction of Electric Powerline for the 9 Boreholes” will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend, at the address below: Ministry of Agriculture Conference Room at 11:30am 9th February 2026

• All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security amounting to GMD700,000 from a reputable Bank and shall be valid for 120 days

• All Bids must be accompanied by a Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and/or Sexual Harassment (SH) Declaration.

• Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
