Procurement of Tents

• This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business No. 678, of 13th April 2006

• The Government of Southern Sudan has received Grant from the Multi donor Trust fund toward the cost of Education Rehabilitation Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Grant to payments under the Contract for the procurement of Tents.

• The Ministry of Education Science and technology now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the procurement of Tents: size (4m. X 4m. X 2.10m.) or equivalent, quantity 390 units

• Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

• Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 9 am to 1 pm & 2 pm to 5 pm

• Qualifications requirements include previous experience in supplying at least two contracts of similar type and size, in the last three years. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.

• A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundablefee of 250 Sudanese Pound or US$ 100.  The method of payment will be in cash.

• Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 23 June 2010, 10 am local time. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.  Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below at 23 June 2010, 10:30 am local time.  All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of 17,000 Sudanese Pound or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
