The Government of Lesotho has received a loan from the International Development Association of the World Bank to implement the Lesotho Competitiveness and Financial Inclusion Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.

One of the key Individual Consulting Services position within the Entrepreneurship Hub and Seed Financing Facility is that of the Executive Assistant.

The Consulting Services to be provided by the Executive Assistant include, inter alia, working closely with the Lead Programme Manager and other staff members to manage the office and operations associated with maintaining the Hub; he/she will assist with the preparation of visual representations, attend various foundation meetings and functions; and actively engage on various teams within the Hub and with the Programme’s Project Management Unit and Ministry of Trade, Industry, Business Development and Tourism. The position holder will be expected to understand the work and priorities of the Hub and triage to facilitate efficient use of the LPM’s time; coordinate and maintain the LPM’s calendar and proactively alert the LPM to deadlines and potential conflicts; coordinate the LPM’s calendar with internal staff’s calendars, as well as external parties, to meet the needs of a wide range of constituents; keep senior staff advised of the LPM’s schedule and vice versa, and work with members of the senior staff to make sure the work of the Hub and ESO Network are optimally achieved.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry, Business Development and Tourism through the PMU, now invites eligible Individual Consultants to indicate their interest in providing the above-mentioned Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The selection criteria include: A Bachelor’s in business administration or equivalent; A Diploma in Secretarial Studies with five years of secretarial and general administrative experience, with exposure to working with similar organisations or non-profit making organisations; five years of prior experience in event coordination or as an executive assistant. Interested candidates are required to submit their Curriculum Vitae together with educational certificates and Expression of Interest to the address below.

The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers November 2020 Procurement Regulations, setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

The Executive Assistant will be selected in accordance with the Individual Consultant Selection method set out in Procurement Regulations.
