  • This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business, of 18/01/2010
  • The Republic of the Sudan has received a Grant from Global Environment Facility, through the World Bank as implementing agency and Government of Finland as a co-financier toward the cost of the Eastern Nile Watershed Management Project, and it intends to apply the proceeds of this Grant to payments under the contract for Supply of Technical Services: Digital Satellite Images as follows.

TOTAL9,619.0031,878.003.         The Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources (MOIWR) through the National Project Coordination Unit NPCU now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for Supply of the Digital Satellite Images.4.         Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.5.         Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the procurement office # Eastern Nile Watershed Management Project; Sudan Component; National Coordination Unit at the address below and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday.6.         Qualifications requirements include, but not limited to:·        The Bidder successfully completed at least two (2), substantially similar (in terms of size and nature) contract, as a prime supplier, in the past five (5) years.·       Certificate of Incorporation and company profile.·       Manufacturer's AuthorizationA margin of preference for eligible national contractors/joint ventures shall not be applied.Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.7.         A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 100 SDG (one hundred Sudanese Pound) or any equivalent amount in a freely convertiblecurrency.  The method of payment will be direct deposit to specified account below:Beneficiary Name: EASTERN NILE WATERSHED MANAGEMENT.Account Number: 6918-3154-2Bank Name and Address: CENTRAL BANK OF SUDAN, KHARTOUM BRANCH, SUDANSWIFT: BSDNSDKHThe Bidding Documents will be collected by the representative of the Bidder or sent by courier services on request.8.         Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 12:00 noon local time on; 14/11/2011.
