The GIRAV has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Construction of 200KM of GIRAV Feeder Roads in the Upper River, Central River, Lower River and West Coast Regions of the Gambia and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts[1] for Construction of GIRAV Feeder Roads, The Gambia

  • The GIRAV now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for CONSTRUCTION OF 200 KM of GIRAV FEEDER ROADS:
  • LOT 1 – Construction of 48.8km Feeder Roads in Upper River and Central River Regions
  • Lot 2 – Construction of 75.7km Feeder Roads in North Bank Regions
  • Lot 3 – Construction of 45.3km Feeder Roads in Lower River and West Coast Regions
  • Lot 4 - Construction of 34.9km Feeder Roads in West Coast Regions

  • Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing” Procurement Regulations September 2023 edition as per legal agreement] (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
  • Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Gambia Inclusive and Resilient Agriculture Value Chain Development Project, [email protected] / [email protected] and inspect the Bidding document during office hours 8:00am to 16:00 hours from Mondays to Thursdays and 8:00 to 12:30pm Fridays at the address given below.
  • The Bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of five hundred United state dollars (USD$500.00 ) or its equivalent in Gambian Dalasi ]. The method of payment will be by cash or transfer to the GIRAV account number which will be provided upon request. The document will be sent by soft copy.
  • Bids must be delivered to the address below [state address at the end of this RFB][2] on or before 11th November 2024 .11:00am Electronic bidding will Not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. The outer Bid envelopes marked “ORIGINAL BID,” and the inner envelopes marked “TECHNICAL PART” will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend, at the address below [state address at the end of this RFB] on Ministry of Agriculture Conference Room at 11:30am March 2024 All envelopes marked “FINANCIAL PART” shall remain unopened and will be held in safe custody of the Employer until the second public Bid opening.

Lot 1: Construction of Feeder roads in Upper River and Central River Regions with a bid security of USD 105,000.00 (One hundred and Five thousand US $ dollars)

Lot 2: Construction of Feeder Roads in North Bank Region: with a bid security of USD$230,000.00 (Two Hundred and Thirty thousand US $ dollars)

Lot 3: Construction of Feeder Roads in the Lower River and West Coast Region: with a security of USD$145,000.00 (One Hundred and Forty-Five Thousand US $ dollars)

Lot 4: Construction of Feeder Roads in West Coast Region: with a bid security of USD$105,000 (One Hundred and Five Thousand US $ dollars)

  • All Bids must be accompanied by a Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and/or Sexual Harassment (SH) Declaration.
  • Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.

[1] Substitute “contracts” where Bids are called concurrently for multiple contracts. Add a new para. 3 and renumber paras 3 - 8 as follows: “Bidders may Bid for one or several contracts, as further defined in the bidding document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one contract will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.”
