• The Botswana Government has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Botswana Emergency Water Security and Efficiency Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Supply and Installation of Water Quality Monitoring Equipment for Water Utilities Corporation Lots 6 to 8: Bidders may Bid for one or several contracts, as further defined in the request for bids document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one contract will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.

• The Water Utilities Corporation now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Supply and Installation of Water Quality Monitoring Equipment for Water Utilities Corporation - Lots 6 to 8

Lot 6: Supply and Installation of Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Analyser

Lot 7: Supply and Installation of Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP-OES)

Lot 8: Supply and Installation of Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS)

n.b. The delivery period for the equipment is 90 days after the signing of the Contract.

3.Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016 (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

• Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Water Utilities Corporation, Keneilwe Chengeta, email: [email protected]; and inspect the bidding document during Office hours 0800 to 1600 hours (CAT) at the address given below.

5.The Bidder shall submit the following additional documents in its Bid: Certificate of incorporation for international companies, PPADB Registration for local companies: Code 211 general Supplies, Sub code-laboratory Equipment, spares & Accessories.

6.The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of P500.00 (five hundred Pula only). The method of payment will be direct deposit in favour of Water Utilities Corporation or cash). The account number for payment is Water Utilities Corporation, Barclays Bank Industrial Branch, Gaborone, Current Account No: 1447860 or direct payment at the address below. The document will be collected at Water Utilities Corporation upon payment of non-refundable fee.

7.Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 21 February 2020,1400 hours, GMT+2. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 20 February 2020,1400 hours, GMT+2.

8.All Bids must be accompanied by a “Bid-Securing Declaration,” as appropriate.
