- The Federal Government of Somalia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of implementing the “Somalia Food Systems Resilience Project (FSRP)” by the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation Galmudug State and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for “Procurement of Office Furniture for PIU, MOAI and MoLFR- Galmudug State. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the World Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments which the contract provides to be made through a letter of credit.
- The Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, Galmudug State now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for theProcurement of Furniture for PIU, MOAI and MoLFR- Galmudug State as per detail below:

*Note: “Bidder must bid for all items and 100% of the quantity of the items. A bid quoting only one item or incomplete quantity of the items will be considered non-responsive and will be rejected”.
- Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016, revised in November 2017 and August 2018, November 2020, September 2023, (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
- Interested and eligible bidders may obtain further information regarding the contract from the PIU office in Dhusamareb during official working hours 09:00 am to 16:00 pm Mogadishu local time, from Saturday to Thursday, excluding public holidays at the address below. Alternatively, inquiries may be submitted via email to: [email protected] with copies to [email protected] and [email protected]
- Bidding documents in English can be obtain free of charge by interested eligible bidders upon submission of a written request through the aforementioned email addresses.
- Bids must be submitted in the address below on or before 16th June 2025 at 13:00 Hrs. Mogadishu time on . Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the Conference Room of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, Galmudug State, Dhusamareb city in the presence of Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend and evaluation panel members from the PIU, MOAI, and MOLFR at 13:00 Mogadishu local time on date of 16th June 2025.
- All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid-Securing Declaration using the form included in Section IV, Bidding Forms.
- Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
