ZESCO Limited now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Design, Supply, and Installation for: (i) Double circuit 330 kV Kasama-Nakonde overhead transmission line, 212km length, (ii) Double circuit 400 kV overhead transmission line from Nakonde to the Tanzanian border, 15km length (charged at 330 kV), and (iii) Double circuit 132 kV Isoka-Nakonde (loop in and out of 66 kV Isoka - Nakonde line) overhead transmission line, 13km length. 3. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the “The World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers: Procurement in Investment Project Financing - Goods, Works, Non- Consulting and Consulting Services - Seventh Edition” (issued September 2025) (the “Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations. 4. Bids will be evaluated in accordance with the evaluation process set out in the bidding documents. The following weightings shall apply for Rated Criteria (including technical and non-price factors): 50% and for Bid cost: 50%. 5. ZESCO Limited the Client has been allocated grant funds (the “Grant”) from the World Bank/European Union which are administered by the International Development Association (IDA) (the “Bank”) and executed by ZESCO Limited (“the Client”). The Client intends to apply the funds to eligible payments under the contract for which this Request for Proposals is issued. Payments by the Bank will be made only at the request of the Client and upon approval by the Bank, and will be subject, in all respects, to the terms and conditions of the grant agreement.
