- The Government of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Lowlands Livelihood Resilience Project phase Two (LLRP-II) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for the Procurement of Construction of 37 meter span length Boka River medium bridge for Sedal Woreda of Kamash Zone, Benishangul gumuz Region.
- The Benishangul gumuz regional state, Lowlands Livelihood Resilience Project (LLRP-II) Regional Project Coordination Unit now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders with general contractor (GC) or road contractot (RC) having 5 (five) general work experience and 3 (three) similar experience in bridge construction starting from 01, January 2021 GC. The bidder shall be submitted audited financial report for the last 5 (Five) years and must demonstrate the current soundness of the Bidder’s financial position and indicate its prospective long- term profitability & detail qualification requirement as set out in the Bid Document Section Three.
- Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Procurement using a Request for Bid procedures as specified as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers-‘Procurement in Investment Project Financing, Goods, Works, Non-Consulting, and Consulting Services, dated July 1, 2016’ and September 2023 edition (here in after called “Regulation”) and ‘Guidelines on Preventing and Combating Fraud and Corruption in Projects Financed by IBRD Loans and IDA Credits and Grants’, dated July 1, 2016 and September 2023 (Anti-Corruption Guidelines); and other provisions stipulated in the Financing Agreements ).
- Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Benishangul gumuz regional state, Lowlands Livelihood Resilience Project (LLRP-II), Regional Project Coordination Unit Procurement Officer Tigabu Gury with the email: [email protected] and inspect/collect the bidding documents during office hours 8:30 am - 5:30 pm local time at the address given below.
- A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchase by interested eligible bidders upon submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of ETB 500.00 (Five hundred Birr only). The method of payment will be by using Commercial Bank of Ethiopia Acc. 1000648981663 (BG LLRP RPCU Phase II) should summit copy of the Bank receipt. The bidder will collect bidding document by in person or through email address stated above on number 4.
- Bids must be submitted to the address below on 23 March, 2026 until 2:30 PM (local time afternoon) in the address mentioned below on number 11.
- Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on 23 March, 2026 until 3:00 PM (local time afternoon)
- All bids must be accompanied by a “Bid Security” of ETB 1,500,000.00 (One million five hundred thousand birr only) in the form of CPO (Cash Payment Order) or Unconditional Bank Guarantee. The bid security is valid for 90 days after the bid opening date.
- The bidder must submit an original and one copy for contract/bids both technical and financial document sealed in one mother envelop.
- The employer has the right to cancel partially or all bid in the best of alternative advantage.
