• This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this Project which appeared in United Nations Development Business (UNDB) Issue No. WB-P890351-12/21 dated 14/12/2023and the National e-Procurement System of Tanzania (NeST) dated 27/05/2023.

• The TARURA - TANGA REGIONAL OFFICE has received CREDIT from the TARURA towards the cost of the Bottleneck improvement on CONSTRUCTION OF TWO BOX CULVERTS AND GRAVELLING WORKS ALONG DUGA- MWAKIJEMBE-MGAMBO ROAD IN MKINGA DISTRICT (LOT I), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for Bottleneck Improvement In Tanga Region Along Mkinga And Kilindi Districts.

• Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Tendering as specified in the World Bank’s 4 “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” fourth edition, November 2020 as well as the Public Procurement Act, CAP 410, and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations. On Bid submission bidder shall be required to finalize payment of a non-refundable fee of The Tanzanian Shilling30,000 or freely convertible currency amount. • Bids must be submitted electronically through NeST on or before 2:00 PM hours local time on 26/12/2023. Bid(s) will be opened promptly thereafter through NeST. Bid opening details will be available to the through NeST.

• All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration in the format provided in the Bidding Documents. Bids not received or opened through NeST shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
