REPUBLIC OF UGANDA PURCHASER: NATIONAL FORESTRY AUTHORITY NAME OF THE PROJECT: INVESTING IN FORESTS AND PROTECTED AREAS FOR CLIMATE - SMART DEVELOPMENT PROJECT SSIGNMENT TITLE: DESIGN AND ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ONLINE RESERVATION AND PAYMENT SYSTEM FOR ECOTOURISM ACTIVITIES IN CENTRAL FOREST RESERVES COUNTRY: UGANDA LOAN CREDIT NO: IDA-65920 REFERENCE NUMBER: NFA-IFPA-CD/NCONS/23-24/00019 DATE OF ISSUE: 18TH JULY, 2024 • The Government of Uganda represented by National Forestry Authority has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of Investing in Forests and Protected Areas for Climate Smart Development Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Design and establishment of an online reservation and payment system for Ecotourism activities in Central Forest Reserves. • The National Forestry Authority now invites sealed Proposals from eligible Proposers for Design and establishment of an online reservation and payment system for Ecotourism activities in Central Forest Reserves.

The delivery period is within four (04) months. • The procurement will be conducted through Open National competitive procurement using Request for Proposals (RFP) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016 updated September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Proposers as defined in the Procurement Regulations. • Interested eligible Proposers may obtain further information from National Forestry Authority and inspect the RFP document during office hours from 08:30a.m to 05: 00p.m (Monday to Friday) at the address indicated in No.9. • The RFP document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Proposers upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee[1] of UGX 100,000 (Uganda Shillings One Hundred Thousand Only).

The method of payment will be by Bank Payment Advice Form obtainable from National Forestry Authority. The document will be collected upon presentation of proof of payment from the address indicated in No.9. • Proposals must be delivered to the address below indicated in No.9 on or before at 11:00am on or before 28th August, 2024. Electronic procurement will not be permitted.

Late Proposals will be rejected. The outer Proposal envelopes marked “ORIGINAL PROPOSAL”, and the inner envelopes marked “TECHNICAL PART” will be publicly opened in the presence of the Proposers’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend, at the address below indicated in No.9 at 11:05am.
