Eskom Holdings SOC Limited (Eskom) hasreceived financing from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (World Bank) towards the cost of the Eskom Investment Support Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Majuba Rail Project –88kV Overhead Power Line. Eskom now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the procurement of plant design,supply and installation of 88kV Overhead Power Line for the Majuba Rail Project, PS (MR) 2014/CT/02.

A complete set of the bidding documents written in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the email address provided aboveand upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ZAR 4 000.00 The bidding documents will be available for collection from 20 November 2014 at Eskom Megawatt Park Building, Tender Office (Opposite the Main Reception), 1 Maxwell Drive, Sunninghill, Johannesburg, 2000, South Africa during office hours (08h00am to 16h00pm).

The method of payment will be via direct deposit into Eskom's account on written request to the email address provided above. Interested eligible bidders may collect the bidding document at their own cost at the address provided above during office hours08h00am to 16h00pm. Bids must be delivered to the address provided above by latest 10:00am (RSA time).

Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. The bids will be publicly opened immediately thereafter, in the presence of the Bidder's designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address provided above on 26 February 2015.

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of ZAR 1 400 000.00 or equivalent.
