Country: Republic of Mozambique Name of Project: Mozambique Safer Roads for Socio-Economic Integration (SRSEI) PROGRAM Grant number: IDA-E0780 Job title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Reference Number: MZ-PMU-559424-CS-INDV The Government of Mozambique, represented by the Ministry of Transport and Logistics (MTL), has received funding from the World Bank for the Mozambique Safer Roads for Socio-Economic Integration (SRSEI) and intends to apply part of the resources to consulting services. The consulting services ("the Services") involve (i) collection, consolidation, analysis and exploitation of the data produced, (ii) Tracking of project performance indicator, (iii) the exploitation and dissemination of information on the performance of the project, namely through the production of periodic reports and evaluation reports of the project activities.

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&E) will work at the PIU, reports to the PIU Coordinator and will also work closely with the PCU monitoring and evaluation specialist. The expected duration of the project is 24 months. There will be a probationary period of 3 months from the date of signing the contract.

The contract will be renewed upon satisfactory performance. The M&E Officer reports to the SRSEI Project Implementation Unit - SRSEI (PIU) through the PIU Coordinator, who is directly reporting to the Project Portfolio Coordination Unit (PCU) Coordinator. Expressions of interest must include the following: (i) a CV detailing qualifications, work experience and achievements in comparable work; (ii) a cover letter, no more than two pages long, specifically addressing how the applicant fulfills each of the mandatory selection criteria listed below. It is mandatory to specify the reference number and the job title, for the EOI to be considered.The criteria for selecting the Consultant are found in section 5 of the Terms of reference. The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraphs 3.14, 3.16 and 3.17 of the World Bank's Procurement Rules for IPF Borrowers of September 2025 ("the Rules"), which sets forth the Bank's policy on conflict of interest.
