Vacancy Announcement
Southwest Ethiopia Bureau of Agriculture invites qualified applicants for the Second Resilient Landscapes and Livelihoods Project (RLLP-II) at Region Level for the following vacant position.
Position Title: Procurement and Contract Management Specialist
- Required Qualification
- Minimum Educational Qualification: Minimum of First Degree in Purchasing Management, Logistic Management, Economics, Engineering, Law, Public Procurement and Asset Management & Supplies management or other relevant fields from recognized universities.
- Work Experience:
- Six years of practical experience in public procurement Management, of which 3 years continuous experience in procurement management at senior level, and 2 years’ experience on the World Bank financed projects;
- Knowledge of procurement policies and procedures of the Ethiopian Federal Public Procurement is a requirement.
- Proficiency in Systematic tracking of Exchanges in Procurement (STEP) is an advantage.
- Experience in training, capacity building and setting up procurement systems in a new organization will be a distinct advantage.
- Excellent Communication and team working skills and proficiency of English language (both written & spoken) are essential.
- Reporting Line/Communication
- The Procurement and contract Management Specialist will report to the Senior Procurement and contract Management Specialist at Southwest Ethiopia Regional Project Coordination Unit (RPCU) and work closely with NPCU procurement specialist, regional project implementing Bureaus, Woreda procuring entities and development partners mainly with the World Bank’s procurement staff
- Required Number: 1 (One)
- Terms of Employment: One-year contract with the possibility of extension.
- Salary: As per the scale of projects of the Ministry of Agriculture
- Duty Station: Southwest Ethiopia, Bonga with frequent field visits to project sites.

- Applicants are required to have excellent communication command of, English and Amharic in speaking, understanding, reading and writing.
