Recruitment of Social Safeguards Specialist for two years — OFLP-ERP Project

Purpose of the Notice

This notice is issued to formally announce the recruitment and appointment of a Social Safeguard Specialist. The role is critical in ensuring compliance with social safeguard policies, promoting equity, and protecting the rights and welfare of communities affected by OFLP-ERP project.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor social safeguard frameworks in line with national and World Bank Requirement.

• Conduct social impact assessments and prepare mitigation strategies.

• Ensure meaningful consultation and participation of stakeholders, including vulnerable groups.

• Monitor grievance redress mechanisms and ensure timely resolution of complaints.

• Provide technical support and capacity building to project teams and partners.

• Prepare reports and documentation for compliance audits and World Bank reviews.

Qualifications and Experience

• MA degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related fields.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in social safeguard implementation within development programs.

• Proven expertise in stakeholder engagement, participatory planning, and grievance management.

• Strong communication skills in English and local languages.

• Familiarity with donor safeguard policies and national regulatory frameworks.

Reporting and Accountability

The Social Safeguard Specialist will report directly to the Project Coordinator and work closely with the Monitoring and Evaluation team to ensure integration of social safeguards into project performance frameworks.

Effective Date

This notice takes effect immediately upon issuance and remains valid until further communication.
