THE UNITED REPUBLIC OF TANZANIA MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY NELSON MANDELA AFRICAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Tender No.: TR48/2023/2024/W/01 FOR Rehabilitation of Laboratory Building 20/03/2024 This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project which appeared in the National e-Procurement System of Tanzania (NeST) dated 27/10/2023. 1. The Government of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the NELSON MANDELA AFRICAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY during the financial year 2023/2024.

It is intended that part of the proceeds of the fund will be used to cover eligible payment under the contract for the Rehabilitation of Laboratory Building. 2. The NELSON MANDELA AFRICAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY now invites tenders from contractors registered or capable of being registered in Contractor Class Three, Contractor Class Two, Contractor Class Four and Contractor Class One for construction of Rehabilitation of Laboratory Building.

• Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Tendering specified in the Public Procurement Act, CAP 410. 4. 5. A complete set of tendering document(s) in ENGLISH may be accessed through NeST.

Tenderers are required to register on the NeST and pay tender participation fees indicated in the NeST to able to participate in this tendering process. 6. All tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Securing Declaration in the format provided in the Tendering Documents.

• All tenders must be properly filled in and submitted through NeST at or before 2:00 PM hours local time on 22/04/2024. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter through NeST. Tender opening details will be available to the public through NeST.
