REQUEST FOR BIDS GOODS (One – Envelope Bidding Process) Country : Malawi Name of Project : Skills for a Vibrant Economy (SAVE) Contract Title : Supply and Delivery of Equipment for Nursing and Midwifery Skills Laboratory Credit No. : IDA – 68910 RFB Reference No. : MW-KUHES-KCN-495473-GO-RFB The Government of Malawi has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Skills for a Vibrant Economy (SAVE) and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payments under the contract for Supply and Delivery of Equipment for Nursing and Midwifery Skills Laboratory.

Kamuzu University of Health Sciences now invites sealed Bids from eligible bidders for Supply and Delivery of Equipment for Nursing and Midwifery Skills Laboratory. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers dated November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations under Section 5.3 to 5.4 National Procurement Procedures.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Kamuzu University of Health Sciences, Lilongwe Campus, Procurement and Disposal Unit, Attention: Procurement and Asset Disposal Manager, Tel (265) 1 751 057 Fax (265) 1 756 424 E-mail: wkazembe@kuhes.ac.mw and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be obtained by interested bidders from the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MK20,000.00.

The payment shall be made to Bank: First Capital Bank, Capital City Branch, Account name: KUHES KCN SAVE Project, Account number: 0004704004850 - Current Account The deposit slip will be used to collect the bidding document by the interested bidder. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery Three copies of the bids; one original and two copies, clearly marked with the Procurement reference numbers and addresses in sealed envelopes must be delivered to Kamuzu University of Health Sciences, P/Bag 1, Lilongwe, Attention: The IPDC Chairperson at or before 10:00hrs local time on 06th August, 2025.

The tender box will be placed at the Reception of the Administration block, Lilongwe campus. All bids must be accompanied with a Bid Securing Declaration. Bids shall be valid for a period up to 05th November 2025.

Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend at the address below at 10:00hrs local time on 06th August, 2025. The University is not bound to accept lowest or any other tender.
