Contract Title: Supply and Installation of Furniture for nine (9) Integrated Justice Centers (IJCs) and sixty (60) Subordinate courts (SBCs).

- This invitation for bid (RfB) follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in the United Nations Development Business (UNDB) No. 1738 of June 9, 2022
- The Government of Tanzania has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Citizen-Centric Judicial Modernization and Justice Service Delivery Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply and Installation of Furniture for nine (9) Integrated Justice Centers (IJCs) and sixty (60) Subordinate courts (SBCs).
- The Judiciary of Tanzania now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply and Installation of Furniture for nine (9) Integrated Justice Centers and sixty (60) Subordinate courts, under the following lots;
LOT 1 – Supply and Installation of Furniture for 5 Subordinate Courts located at Izigo, Nyakakika in Kagera and Kigoma kaskazini, Heru Juu, Manyovu in Kigoma
LOT 2 – Supply and Installation of Furniture for 9 Subordinate Courts located at Mipingo, Mtandi, Ndomoni in Lindi; Chikundi in Mtwara; Msata, Bungu, Somangila and Kimanzichana in Pwani and Mbagala in Dar es Salaam.
LOT 3 – Supply and Installation of Furniture for 5 Subordinate Courts located at Unyamikubi, Minyughe in Singida; Kwamtoro in Dodoma; Bwakila Chini, Minepa in Morogoro.
LOT 4 – Supply and Installation of Furniture for 10 Subordinate Courts located at Chikongola, Kitangari in Mtwara and Nalasi, Likuyusekamaganga, Lilondo in Ruvuma; Manda, Lupembe in Njombe; Izazi, Mafinga in Iringa and Ngoheranga in Morogoro.
LOT 5 – Supply and Installation of Furniture for 11 Subordinate Courts located at Kabila, Inonelwa, nyatukala in Mwanza; Mganza, Ng’azo in Geita and; Malunga, Majengo in Shinyanga; Lagangabilili ,Ngulyati, Nyalikungu in Simiyu and Mugumu, in Musoma.
LOT 6 – Supply and Installation of Furniture for 8 Subordinate Courts located at Terat, Maji ya Chai, Makuyuni and Tarakea in Arusha; Minjingu, Terrat in Manyara and Gonja, Sanya Juu in Kilimanjaro.
LOT 7 – Supply and Installation of Furniture for 11 Subordinate Courts located at Kasanga, Namanyere and Nambogo in Rukwa; Ugalla, Sibwesa, Mamba in Katavi; Lupatingatinga Ndobo, Rujewa in Mbeya and Kanga, Msangano in Songwe.
LOT 8 Supply and Installation of Furniture for 3 Integrated Justice Centre (IJC) in Singida, Geita and Simiyu.
LOT 9 Supply and Installation of Furniture for 2 Integrated Justice Centre (IJC) in Njombe and Songea.
LOT 10 Supply and Installation of Furniture for 2 Integrated Justice Centre (IJC) in Songwe and Katavi.
LOT 11 Supply and Installation of Furniture for 2 Integrated Justice Centre (IJC) located in Lindi and Pemba.
- Bidding will be conducted through International competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” September 2023 Fifth Edition (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations
- Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the office of the Director of Procurement Management Services (Secretary of the Tender Board), 26 Kivukoni Road, Court of Appeal Building Ground Floor Room No.44, P.O Box 9004, Dar es salaam, email: [email protected] from 7:30-15:30 Mondays to Fridays inclusive, except on public holidays.
- A complete set of the bidding documents (in English) is available to interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tanzanian Shillings One Hundred Thousand only (TZS 100,000.00) or its equivalent in freely convertible currency for each lot. The method of payment will be through the Control Number to be provided by Judiciary of Tanzania. Please request the Control number through the Email address [email protected] ; phone +255 744 236 086.
After getting the control number, follow the procedures outlined in this link https://epay.gepg.go.tz/ to make payment and follow up your receipt via emails provided.
N.B: The bidding documents will be issued to the bidders both in hardcopy and electronic copy (through email). The bidders should note that in case of any difference in the hard and the soft copy, the one in hard copy only shall prevail.
- Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 17th June, 2024 at 11:00 Hours local time. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address mentioned below immediately after the submission deadline. Late bids will be rejected.
- All bids must be accompanied by a "Bid Security" of Unconditional Bank Guarantee (in the format provided in the bidding document) amounting to Tanzanian Shilling (TZS) or equivalent in any freely convertible currency (TZS 15,000,000.00 each for Lot 1 and Lot 3; TZS 30,000,000.00 each for Lot 2, Lot 4, Lot 5, Lot 6 and Lot 7; TZS 75,000,000.00 each for Lot 8, Lot 9; and TZS 50,000,000.00 each for Lot 10 and Lot 11; . Bidders participating in more than one lots must provide separate bid security for each lot. The Bid Security shall be clearly addressed to the CHIEF COURT ADIMINISTRATOR, 2 JUDICIARY STREET, SLP 2757, 41104 TAMBUKARELI, DODOMA, TANZANIA and shall be valid for twenty-eight (28) calendar days beyond the bid validity period. i.e. 148 calendar days after the bid’s submission deadline.
